We are celebrating our 131st year!

Our Building

Built in 1893, this sandstone building designed by John Cornelius Randall is in the Queen Anne style. Imported stained glass windows depicting Longfellow and Scott enhance the meeting room and the golden oak interior and two corner fireplaces are original to the building. The Scott Club members have been exclusive owners since the turn of the century.

Our Club

We began as a reading circle in 1883 and served as an informal lending library as well as providing cultural enrichment education, and social contact for women in the early days of South Haven.

These strong women were instrumental to the development, leadership, and continual growth of our club. Without their guidance and hard work, we would not be as strong of a club as what we are today.
