As the construction for the installation of our Lift continues at Scott Club, please join us at the First Congregational Church, 651 Phoenix St., to discover the artistry and passion behind every stitch as Deloa Jones shares her remarkable quilting journey that has spanned over 46 years. She will tell her story of how her quilting masterpieces have evolved by displaying 20 – 25 quilts that range from her earliest piece to her newest design.
Deloa’s life journey began in Mechanicsburg PA, one of 8 children, growing up on her family’s farm. She studied dance and was a principal dancer with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Company. She also started hand quilting at a young age and was quilting for over 20 years before she purchased a long arm quilting machine and started her business 26 years ago. Deloa has written five books on quilting and has taught all over the United States, and in Canada and England. She moved to South Haven 30 years ago and continues her business that includes a retreat center for quilters and crafters alike.
