Pianist Tina Gorter returns to the Scott Club with vocalist Paige Heidrich to perform an hour-long, all-American program of music ranging from American folk music to cabaret with many favorites you will recognize.
Tina Gorter is a collaborative pianist in the West Michigan area who has extensive experience in instrumental, vocal, and choral repertoire. She is currently pursuing her DMA in Collaborative Piano at Michigan State University. Tina also serves as the pianist for the Southwest Michigan Vocal Festival, Kalamazoo Men’s Chorus, Grand Rapids Opera, and has appeared with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and Ad Astra Music Festival as a guest pianist. Tina performed with two trumpets for the Scott Club Concert Series four years ago.
Paige Heidrich, soprano, is an Ohio native currently pursuing a DMA in Voice Performance at Michigan State University. She received an MM in Voice Performance at MSU as well as undergraduate degrees in Voice Performance and Music Education from Baldwin Wallace University’s Conservatory of Music. As an educator with varied interests, Paige has held a wide range of positions as a general music teacher, collegiate instructor in early childhood music education, vocal coach, stage director, and church choir director throughout her time in Ohio and Michigan. She also taught private voice to ages 10-65 at the Aurora School of Music for almost two years before pursuing graduate study. In addition to her teaching, she cantors Masses at St. Thomas Aquinas Church/St. John Student Center in East Lansing, MI.
