In honor of Women’s History Month, the Silver Bag Ladies of South Haven’s branch of AAUW will share vignettes from the lives of a dozen Michigan ladies during the past two centuries. History is told through their hats as well as their words. Attendees are encouraged to wear their own hats in celebration of women’s history month!
The South Haven Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW-SH) was established in 1947 and consists of over 150 women from South Haven and surrounding areas. The AAUW-SH is active in the community through activities, programs and interest groups. One of the interest groups. The Silver Bag Ladies of South Haven group, was founded with the purpose of presenting the lives of historical and living women through entertaining reade’’s theater programs.
